Our services
Care shaped around your life — all by secure, HIPAA-compliant video, anywhere in New York. Every service below is delivered by our team of 13 licensed New York clinicians, matched to you based on your needs, your schedule, and your insurance. Most in-network clients pay only a copay, typically $0–$50 per session.
Individual therapy
One-on-one therapy is a standing, private conversation with a clinician whose only agenda is you. Whether you’re carrying anxiety that hums in the background of every day, a depression that has drained the color out of things, trauma that still shapes the present, or a life transition that has you feeling unmoored — this is dedicated time and space to work on it.
Your therapist will draw on evidence-based approaches like CBT (reworking the thought patterns that keep you stuck), DBT (skills for intense emotions), and insight-oriented therapy — chosen to fit you, not applied off a shelf. Sessions are typically weekly, 45–50 minutes.
A good fit if you’re dealing with
- Anxiety, panic, or constant overwhelm
- Depression, burnout, or loss of joy
- Trauma and PTSD
- Life transitions, career stress, self-esteem
- Grief and loss
Couples therapy
Most couples don’t come to therapy because they’ve stopped caring — they come because the same argument keeps swallowing the caring. In couples work, your therapist’s job isn’t to referee or take sides. It’s to slow things down until you can both see the cycle you’re caught in, and the softer feelings underneath it.
You’ll practice real communication tools between sessions, rebuild trust deliberately, and learn how to repair after conflict instead of just recovering from it. Both partners join from wherever is convenient — same couch or different boroughs.
A good fit if you’re facing
- The same fight on repeat
- Distance, resentment, or broken trust
- Big decisions — moving, marriage, children
- Parenting strain or blended-family friction
- Wanting a tune-up before problems harden
Teen therapy
Teens are navigating school pressure, friendships, identity, and a phone that never stops — with a brain still under construction. Our teen specialists build the kind of trust that makes a teenager actually want to show up, using approaches that fit how young people communicate, including creative and art-based work alongside CBT and mindfulness.
Parents: you book the first appointment, and we’ll walk you through exactly how consent and confidentiality work for minors in New York — you stay appropriately informed while your teen gets the private space therapy requires. Telehealth also means no after-school shuttling.
Common reasons families reach out
- Anxiety, school stress, or perfectionism
- Withdrawal, irritability, or mood changes
- Self-esteem and identity questions
- Trouble with friendships or bullying
- Family conflict or big transitions
Substance Use Counseling
Judgment-free, evidence-based treatment for alcohol and substance use, led by Master CASAC-credentialed clinicians — including our director, Ally Nektalov. Whether you are questioning your relationship with a substance, working toward moderation, or maintaining recovery, care starts where you are.
Sessions are weekly by secure video, covered in-network like every other service we offer, and coordinated with couples or individual therapy when substance use is tangled up with something bigger.
Virtual visits
Every Mind Therapy session is telehealth — by design, not as a compromise. Research, including a 2021 meta-analysis of 57 studies, finds video therapy as effective as in-person care for anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Many clients find it easier to open up from their own space.
Practically, it means therapy that survives a New York schedule: no commute, no waiting room, evening and weekend openings, and continuity when you travel within the state. All you need is a private spot and a phone or laptop — we handle the secure, HIPAA-compliant link.
How it works
- Book online or by phone in under two minutes
- We verify your insurance before your first session
- Join by secure video from anywhere in New York
- Same therapist, same time, every week
